I'm supporting a ministry called Angel Tree which provides Christmas presents for kids whose parents are incarcerated. I never had children so I have no idea what to buy a 15 year old boy for Christmas so need input from you guys that have kids. Budget is between 30-40 bucks but i don't mind spending a little more. Thanks

The classic!

Alternatively, if he has a game console, there are plenty of choices.

Or, maybe something he could re-gift to his mom.

Gawd ... I was this age in the late 60s and now have mid-30s daughters, but here are my thoughts.

What about headphones, earbuds. sunglasses or a hoodie ?

I don't have any information on the kid other than gender and age.

Gift card from the local mall. Not real personal, but it lets the kid get what he wants.

I'm surprised the ministry has not given you any guidelines on what to get them. First, if they told you $30 to $40, don't spend more than that because the other kids would see your kid getting something better than them. It's not the amount truly but the though that counts.

As to what to get them, buy basics such as socks, toothpaste, toothbrush. Then something to develop them mentally like a book for that age range. Then lastly something for fun like maybe a basketball or baseball.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." My company’s Allentown office just completed a Holiday Hope Chest Charity Drive and we filled and gift-wrapped approximately 80 ‘shoe’ and ‘boot’ boxes full of gifts.

Our gift targets was for children between 11 and 16 years old and we were provided the suggested gift list found at this link to help guide us -

https://volunteerlv.egnyte.com/dl/wTgNthvZQC

This is the organization we supported -

Last year this organization was able to raise 8,000 gift boxes for children! This year their goal is 10K.

If you have a “Five Below” store near you it is a great place to shop to fill this charitable contribution.

Good job!!
