how much would it cost to have a favorites option added to the forum.

when you see a post or whole thread ( for that matter) that you want to save to your personal favorites file, you would push a button and then you could choose a file to add it too.

file names might could be gun Picture's, cat pictures, things to do in ______, places to visit in IOwa, holster makers , jokes about monkey's and on and on.

the lottery is big again , I am just pre planning, a wee bit

FREE! You can bookmark the thread in your browser, and organize folders with names of your choosing in your bookmarks. Under the bookmarks/favorites button there's usually a bookmark manager, or something with a name similar to that where you create the folder structure you want.

That being said, old stuff can get "pruned" from the forum, so if you really want to save stuff permanently, there's a way to do that, too.

Or "Yes", depending on the browser.

For example, if you're using Chrome, your bookmarks/favorites are available on any computer or other device (including cell phones, tablets, etc.), provided you log into your Google account on that device.

You can just save the link to your desktop or web browser.
There are sync tools so they are accessible from different machines such as One Drive or Google has a way, I think there is such a tool in Apple too.
No need to rip up the forum to accomplish this.
YMMV

You would have to save a file to your computer - so when the link gets pruned you could still access it.

Ok, then what do you have?

A list of favorite threads. What can you do with it?

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Wow, how about that!!! You have to be logged in for it to function. Then you can "add to favorites". Under the "Go" menu is the link to your Favorites!

I never knew there was a “favorites” within the forum and will have to check it out to see how it works. I lost my SigForum users manual and can’t find an online version. I think the forum agreement says you only get one copy of the manual.

Then you can have the beginning of a musical:

"Enough with the cat pictures, enough with the dogs, too...

What's in your glass tonight????

Moment of zen...

These are a few of my favorite threads...

When Para's ban strikes... when bendable chimes in... when sigmonkey cracks a joke...

I simply remember a few of these threads and then I don't feel... so bad!"

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

You can log out of Sigforum? I think I’ve been logged in for so long that there’s a “sigcrazy7” screen burnin on the “Online Now” front page. Smile

I want to save my engagement announcement thread I made on here. Is there a way to save it as it appears on forum? Tried it once, turned it into multiple chopped up pages.
