Thank you Very little |
Have a Karcher 2500 2.4 gpm with 5.5 HP Honda motor pressure washer, it's probably 15 years old and the engine runs good, but, the pump finally gave out. Pump leaks now, won't turn so that led down the black hole of finding one. Of course it's discontinued, both the whole unit and pump. With the help of one online company we found a 2.6 GPM 3000 psi pump that will bolt straight to it, so I pick up GPM and PSI, which would be great. So do I buy the pump on Amazon, $192, or take it to a local shop that says he'll do it for $190, local shop has good reviews. Thing is I know the pump I'll get off Amazon will be returnable if it flakes, it's 4 bolts nothing major has to be done and it's sold direct from Karcher as the replacement. Either way it's less than half the price of a new 3000 psi unit. Decisions decisions

You are slightly raising both the pressure and the volume with that new pump. Make sure you have enough horsepower to run it. That could be a problem.

This new unit with a bit more pressure is what the shop recommends as a replacement for the unit. It's a 5.5 HP Honda motor that's found on a lot of higher pressure washers..
