Water Hammer Noise With New Dishwasher
I have a new GE Cafe dishwasher with all the bells and whistles but it seems to thump and bang or make weird noises I suspect is water hammer?

Do these new generation dishwashers have valves are open and close very quickly? I put water hammer arrestors on my toilets and washing machine to resolve that issue there, can this be done on a dishwasher as well?

I did have a water pressure regulator put on our main supply line a couple years back, it was something like 85 or 90 psi, and it took it down to 55 psi.

I had one put on my older dishwasher a few years ago but don't know if can be done with the newer ones.

Watching this thread. Have new Bosch dishwasher that makes similar sounds as the OP.

Get at properly sized inline water hammer arrester installed on the inlet lines?

I also ended up putting 5/8 diameter heavy duty lines on my extremely irritating LG washer. Fixed it far better than the 4 different, and escalating hammer arrestors. Found them at Lowes.

I have hunted high and low for a link to them. I have not found one. They did solve my hammer problem though. Very heavy duty lines. 5/8 inch ID
