I'd posted a thread a few weeks or so ago asking for recommendation for a neighbor who was looking for a good daily wear watch costing $50 or less (preferably an analog). Many of you agreed with me that the Casio Duro was a good option. Well, my neighbor ordered one and decided he didn't like how large it felt on his wrist, so it was eventually returned.

Earlier this week I got an email from Woot with a one day Woot special offer for a Citizen (mock) diver watch for $30 (regularly $74). I forwarded the email to him, he said he liked the look, and I ordered two (yes, one for me too Smile. Come on, it was $30). Here's the watch...

So far my friend really loves it. Smile

As for mine, its nothing special, but I think its a really cool little watch, that for the money, was a nice score for jeans or shorts casual wear. And once the cheap rubber/plastic band was replaced with a NATO I already had in the drawer, I think it looks pretty good. Smile

Good looking watch!

Nice, but I prefer the Duro. More blue and less silver.

And I have big wrists, so the size is perfect for me.

That’s a great price when you consider what a good entry level automatic watch would set you back.

That’s a pretty good deal, and yours looks good on that NATO.

I have a Citizen chronograph and love the idea of the EcoDrive, which was a brilliant idea by someone. The only problem is that it wasn't until I got it home, that I realized you can't make out the markings on the subdials without carrying around a magnifying glass. Still think they make a great watch.

Just for clarification, this is a battery powered quartz watch, not an EcoDrive. For $30, EcoDrive is not going to be an option.
