12GABluetooth CD player recommendations
I want to purchase a Bluetooth CD player for playing at home through my Bose Soundlink speaker. I'm not expecting audiophile sound but would like something the will reliably play CD's without skipping/issues with connectivity.
Recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

honestlouYou say you're looking for something to play CDs at home, so pretty much any halfway decent CD player with BT should work with no problem. They're all pretty decent, and if it won't be moving around you shouldn't have any issue. Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Crutchfield- you should be able to find something for $50 or so.
But, let me be the first to suggest that if you have a physical CD, you can put those songs on your phone in a few minutes and then you don't need the CD player. Do you know how to do that?

12GAWe accumulated hundreds of CDs over the past 30 years. They're in storage containers kept in our backyard shed.
I'm thinking the effort of loading them to our cellphones might be more effort than we're capable of.
How exactly would we do that?

I have around 500 CDs and a few hundred DVDs and BluRays.
I uploaded them and took me about 3 months.
I uploaded them to an external hard dive using the program Exact Audio Copy.
I use Plex Media Server to watch/listen on every device I have.
Plex has added an App for phones called PlexAmp so I have all my CDs available on my phone and use zero phone storage.
It’s time consuming to get them there but SO worth it.

12GAFacinating! How does the external hard drive communicate the music to our cellphones? Is the Plex Media Server a physical computer?

Yes, I have it running on a PC.
It can also be setup on a NAS which I will get around to doing someday for better safer storage of all our media.

Plex is a program that runs ON a computer that creates a 'server' that serves up the media to other devices. Same thing netflix, youtube, spotify, etc do, but on your own computer with your own media. I have a dedicated computer with 12TB of storage, but you can use almost any PC & an external USB disk like Black does just fine. It is a FANTASTIC program that has both grown and stayed a good value over a decade. I paid $100 for a lifetime license 8-10 years ago and have gotten my money's worth 10x over.
I have a dedicated kids library. My son has been able to select movies & TV series he wants on his kindle since he was 4. Going on a trip? Have him pick the shows he wants to add. Keeps him occupied for a few minutes PLUS quite for hours during travel. No internet needed....
If you own the CD, you can create a digital copy. How you do that is up to you. You can 'rip' the CD with software. A lot of CDs will take a lot of time. I download a copy via torrents. Sharing copyrighted files is illegal, downloading them is not. There's a risk of malware, but it is low for music in my experience.
