^^^^ You would only need to mow four lawns at $100,000 each, and that would cover the truck, taxes, licenses, and the first tank of gas.

Find a dealer that handles fleet sales maybe

This is what we do for our work trucks...

Not trying to dissuade you on brand but you can get 2019 Ford F-250 with a regular cab and 8' bed for about 34K retail...

https://shop.ford.com/build/su...EC.YZKAA.SRW.XLL.%5D

Most larger dealers of any brand have a bunch of base model work trucks (in white of course) on a back lot.

My current truck is a 2000 GMC 2500. Awesome vehicle. Still runs great.

What's wrong with it other than being old? The only thing that kills them is rust.

It's got a few rusty holes and it's ugly. Smile

I thought about Ford but I'm just not familiar. Almost everyone in the same business around here that used to run Ford trucks switched to GMC and claim to be happier. I also get family discount because dad and step-mom retired from the Lordstown plant.

$375,000.00 For a work truck would assuredly put a small business out of business Wink

What I feared, given your location. Frown This generation of GM truck is bad for rusting the steel brake lines, which are a safety hazard if they let go. It is also bad for your image for your vehicles to be ragged out.

I can't recommend any diesel nowadays, with all the exhaust fluid, particulate filters and other crap that they have to put on them.

I love me some Fords but I don’t believe that I’d allow fertilizer and aluminum to be in a dark area together. Steel is bad enough but Aluminum has some bad reactions to fertilizer under proper conditions. Ten years experience in a large commercial fertilizer company showed me some interesting electrolytic devilry.

My brake lines did go on this one. That was interesting. Then two weeks later the transmission lines blew out. I've got all new just about everything down below.

Yeah, I was looking on GMC.com. I wasn't aware of the fleet site. Apparently, neither were the dealership salesmen.

Nice catch! My "build" is a 4x4 SLE, Deep Mahogany Metallic over Cocoa/Dune seats and trim. Yes, I chose the Duramax 6.6 with the Allison 1000. For road trips. And the Smoked Amber roof marker lamps I've always wanted, only $55!

Jake Brake standard Big Grin

Deleted the SLE aluminum wheels, for steel. Don't want a hopper after just a few pot holes. Plan on reminding the sales guy the spare rim better be a match to the rims on the truck.

Wow, $50k comes fast!

Around here we have dealerships with entire fleet divisions. Surely somebody around you does that as well.

I understand where the dealer is coming from. They don't even know what they'll be selling in a year and a half, and the way dealerships can turn over sales staff, the guy you talk to that will be working down the street by then.
