That's the type of reporting the AZ REPUGNANT newspaper is known for. The rag is one of many enterprises owned by the Gannet Corp. They also own 3 of the 5 Phoenix tv stations. All liberal to the core.

When we dropped our long time subscription a few years ago the sales rep asked why. My wife told him the rag leaned to far left. He told her that's the most common reason he's hearing for subscription drops.

Fuck him, someone should take him on a tour of a coal mine and leave his ass in there.

This. I grew up in WV. I've been around a few miners. Miners, plan and simple.

Mr. Thomas likely should keep his opinions about such things to himself.

But that's just my opinion. Wink

While he is at it he should also be offened by the flash reflection and the beer head making the cross.

I wonder how much hate mail this pussy has gotten. It kind of reminds me of that other pussy, who fancied himself a journalist, and wrote about how unpleasant an experience it was to shoot an AR-15 for the first time. I think he wanted to go into the Witness Protection Program after those readers' comments.

My dad joined the air force to get out of the central WV coal mines that dominated our family for generations

One thing he said his grandfather said was there were no racists in the mines because after 5 minutes everyone was black

I hope he visits the Grand Canyon and jumps. The world would be a better place without people like him.

That picture isn't even from the USA. The picture appears on the cover of a book ...

May not even be coal miners. Maybe foundry, steel workers. Dunno. Who knows.

Maybe, instead of learn to code, it should be "learn to mine".

I honestly couldn't tell, at first, if this was satire.

Now I'm offended by his efforts to suppress the history of MY people's struggle. Marginalized when they arrived, with only the most menial and dangerous jobs available to them working long hours for low pay under dangerous conditions, most dying well before their time.

Once again lessons learned in civics class fail me. Can anyone tell me which Amendment to the Constitution guarantees the right not to be offended?

Thanks.

Thanks for posting that.

When I saw the "Bass & Co. / Burton Ale" advertisement on the wall in the picture, not to mention the general ambiance, I strongly suspected the photo was taken somewhere in the British Isles, long ago.

So this journalist can be offended not only across continents, but across the centuries as well!
