I saw this post last night and I thought should I comment? Thought it over and this morning here is my $.02 worth. Do you really have to ask? One way to find out is to take the time and read the entire thread. Everyone who knows David, knows that he has been more the generous with his Karmas, that he is busy, and that he will announce when he has time. I think this applies with all who give a Karma.
No one gave an answer on the thread why? Because if you post on the thread more then once you increase your chances of the karminator picking you.

RogueJSKBalze is correct. The Karmanator is designed so that all posters in the thread have the same chance of winning, regardless of how many times they've posted.

Floyd D. BarberI have noticed when I do a karma that my name is on the list of those entered.
I'm sure the karmanator knows to exclude myself when it does the drawing.

I always figured if it picked me, I'd just go to #2 on the list.

Actually the Karmanator just reads through the posts and finds all the usernames. This includes the person posting the Karma. I thought about eliminating whomever posted first but I could imagine someone offering a karma in a thread that had already gotten started.
So if you use the Karmanator for your Karma and it selects you (Meaning the person offering the Karma) just run it again. It does actually mention this on the Karmanator page.
Just to reiterate what others have said: each user name is only included once - regardless as to how many times the person posts in the Karma thread. So you can't increase your odds by posting multiple times.
Each person who posts in the thread has an equal chance of being selected. Including the person who started the thread.

Skins2881Cool, I have never made a second comment in a karma thread thinking it would be cheating. Glad to know this. Thanks Chance.

Well, technically it parses the posts.

Rey HRHI was at this wedding reception meal.
One guest at my table grabbed the water glass that was on his left side and started using it.
I chose to not say anything.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

HRKone other thing about the karmanator, it can't tell if you don't want to be entered, so if you post
"great karma, my grandpa had one, and it's cool, neato and I have four so don't include me"
the karmanator will include you, I had to manually choose a winner because it kept picking someone that wanted to be excluded and
re-running it gives you the same person.
So if you don't want to be included, don't post in the karma, otherwise, if it's karmanated, you're in the karma.

Well then, why haven't you mailed the damn karma yet?
