Several months ago, either Costco or Sams Club was out of the Irish Spring bar soap I usually buy. The stuff smells good, better than Dial, so that is what I have been using for a loooooooooong time. WTF? Bar soap display is under construction and It looked like my only option was Dove. Ok, don't get your boxers in a bunch. No way am I going to buy the Dove bar soap that is some percentage of moisturizing cream. That stuff is for the women people. Oh well, I will give it a shot, as we are about out of bar soap. Now I live in Cincinnati and in Jan-April, my skin is very, very dry, so I use a moisturizer when I get out of the shower. Ok, I hate to admit it, but I am now a Dove bar soap believer. No need for moisturizer after a shower. Hey, don't knock it until you try it. Anyone else using Dove bar soap? Niech Zyje P-220 Steve

Dove does make a body wash for men that is sold at Costco, maybe try that and you won’t lose your man card ________________________ "Don't mistake activity for achievement." John Wooden, "Wooden on Leadership"

Our Dermatologist recommend Dove bar or body wash. We’ve been using the body wash we like it. I went with it as I read somewhere bar or cake soap doesn’t dissolve as fast as body wash.

Gloom, despair and agony on me. |
I tried the Dove men’s care bar soap didn’t really care for the lack of lather I got out of it. Found Old Spice bar soap to replace it.

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In High School I worked in a Metal Fabrication Shop after school during the week so I was very dirty and always needed a shower straight away after work. I dated a young lady but we were only allowed to see each other Fridays, Saturday, and Sunday at church until 3 during the school year. She lived about 10 minutes from the shop, I lived 45 minutes away with Friday traffic and another 30 to her house. Her parents were kind enough to let me shower there after work on Fridays to save drive time. They were a Dove family. That stuff is so oooey, gooey, nasty! Leaves your skin all slimy and nasty GROSS, not to mention you smell like an old woman. But hey saved me tons of time, gas, and an hour more or so with the girl so it was worth it. Make sure that the soap is not left where water pools or the bar will last about a week. If you want some good soap. Arbonne Charcoal Soap is where it is at. A bit pricey but my wife is a consultant so we save a touch on it. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Been using Dove bar soap for years and years. I think I started using it upon the recommendation of a dermatologist during a bout of eczema? All those scented soaps contain chemicals that dry your skin. Ivory is the purest bar soap, IIRC. "America is at that awkward stage.
