Southflorida-lawFlorida Nov Election - Constitutional Amendments
to my Sigforum friends out there that live in Florida, be aware that there will be at least 9 Constitutional Amendments on the ballot. Dont wait until the day of to read them. Some of them have multiple provisions within a single amendment (those were struck down but may reappear).

FlyingScotThank you for this - but I get annoyed that instead of the legislature doing their job, Florida seems to always go the amendment route.

bigdealHow does one determine the 'real' origin of some of these amendments? Many of these were referred to ballot from some committee, but they originated somewhere prior to that. A few of these amendments (especially the ones booted by the courts) are utterly asinine. Of course the banning of offshore drilling and the prohibition of indoor vaping certainly belong in the same amendment.

Stupid on steroids.

HRKWe need an amendment to the FL Constitution that eliminates the ability of special interest groups to propose amendments to the constitution.

trapper189Great. Maybe we can get high speed rail PAID for now and rights for pregnant pigs. Not.
Gotta love these ballot box amendments and their wording. There's no way you can just read them while you are voting. I read them beforehand and take a cheat sheet with me.
