ShaqlQuestion about pressure swithces for a mounted flashlight
I bought this pressure switch for my AR/flashlight combo but there doesn't seem to be a good mounting solution.
Where, and how, do you guys mount your flashlight switches?

Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

dfwglockguyI’ve used a product called “Ranger Bands”. They are similar to rubber bands, but much thicker and durable. They came in a package of about 20 and had several different sizes. Pick a couple of the smallest ones that you can stretch out to fit around your stock/forearm. It won’t go anywhere. The ones on my rifle are about a year old and are still in great shape.

PerceptionThe pressure switch for my Streamlight came with zip ties as a mounting option. That doesn't look like a particularly well thought out design though, so I don't know what would work best.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." February 16, 2022, 12:35 PM
Jimbo54I mounted mine using Velcro and it works great.

Expert308I've used ranger bands too, when my carbine had the old round handguards on it. When I replaced those with a more modern handguard I added something like
this (this one is for a pic rail, there are similar ones available for MLok as well).

83v45magnaYou can also go get a bicycle or motorcycle inner tube and make your own. Been using my punctured mc tubes like this since the seventies. Works great.
I'm pretty sure this is where 'ranger bands' came from in the first place.

tankeryankerWhen I put mine on I wasn't sure where I wanted it. I had some 3M double sided tape, so I put it on the back of the switch. I am glad I like where I put it because I couldn't get it back off. It's an option, just make sure you like where you put it.
