Over 4 years we collected 3-400 sets of beads while wintering in Destin Florida. I took 12 sets to our Barbershop Chorus today and awarded each singer with one. No surprisingly, not many of our singer knew much an out Fat Tuesday.

When in driving a parade route in New Orleans, look up at the trees - absolutely cover in beads.

Here’s 2 of our grandchildren after a parade.

There are many reasons I don't like the city. Undrinkable tap water is just the beginning. It's just not my vision of fun.

I wouldn't go to NO on a bet but I like watching the crowd egging on the girls to show their tits. Usually the ones you don't care to see.

Right now there is a damper on the live feed. A couple of guys carrying big Jesus Saves & Repent or go to Hell signs and it's killed the crowd between them and fewer boobies getting flashed. Funny

Edit to add the camera man moved the angle and it's getting pretty drunk out.

I'm in Louisiana and I watch Bourbon St on the camera from time to time. Last time I went to NOLA for a parade was 1975. That was enough for me.

I've only been to the French Quarter on Mardi Gras day once in my life and that's because I had to repair a laptop for a customer at the Hilton near the quarter. After the repair I figured what the hell I'll go see what the big deal was about going to the quarter on Mardi Gras day. It seemed like a regular day in the quarter to me, just more people with a few really extravagant costumes.

7:53 Wednesday morning: So what I see is two big front end loaders pushing a massive pile of litter up.... they moved on and I guess someone(s) get to come along and do something with it later:

I went to New Orleans once and visited that street.... really don't understand people's need to get drunk and act stupid out in public.... not for me.

You can actually scroll backwards on timeline on that feed. The scoop up and cleaning is a fascinating and pretty efficient process.
And disgusting, all at once.

This one is at street level

In about a hour they make that mess of a street into a presentable area. Unbelievable.

It was a gorgeous day in the quarter yesterday. Lots of fun. I crossed Bourbon a few times, didn’t walk down it at all. Was mostly on Royal
