I was scheduled to check in on Sunday to prep for my surgery on Monday the 17th, but the collective wisdom of the pulmonary/heart team was to get me in a couple of days earlier for tests and monitoring due to some crappy blood test results.

Will probably need a transfusion prior to surgery to up the blood counts. So be it.

I will be having a pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE) to remove blood clots from my lungs as well as a little work on my heart since they'll have my chest open. They expect 7-10 in the hospital after the surgery.

Wish me luck.

The key to enforcement is to punish the violator, not an inanimate object. The punishment of inanimate objects for the commission of a crime or carelessness is an affront to stupidity.

Good luck. If there is anything I can do for you locally while you're out of commission just ask.
