The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because nobody was married. Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard, Goober, Gomer, Sam, Earnest T Bass, Helen, Thelma Lou, Clara and, of course, Opie were all single. The only married person was Otis, and he stayed drunk.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Fred and Jennie Boone were also married and they fought constantly. Andy tried to counsel them only to find they were happiest when they were fighting.

Thanks for giving my 80 year old dad a gut busting laugh. He is a life long Mayberry fan and as we were sitting here complaining about my mom i read him that. Smile
