Yum, yum Wink Eat all those for lunch and you won't be needing dinner tonight... unless you're sharing, of course.

Q,

That looks awesome! But it also looks like it might be too much for just one person. I could help you with that.

Dungenous crabs are one of my favorite crabs (those and large Blue Crabs). That looks to be a meal and a half......enjoy!

Sweet!
The best meal I ever ate in my life consisted of all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab legs and two pitchers of beer. Smile

You don't have those in Texas, do you. Costco maybe?

They are delicious and one of my favorites

Give me the King Crab please. dungeness is good. Blues are OK, I don't like the effort, I eat them as social occasion, but would never order them out with wife or another couple. I hate picking them.

Everyone has their own tastes. To me the Kings are too salty. I find the very large Blue crabs not too bad to pick at, but grew up eating them often as we catch them here in FL (the chesapeake ones are a bit sweeter because of the cold water than the FL ones). I like the sweetness of the blues and dungenous. But a Maine Lobster is my favorite shellfish.

I come across stone crabs all of the time. I rarely eat them. I get them for customers all of the time in Harbor Island or Bimini (Bahamas), colossal ones for $18 lb, and personally the only thing that makes them edible to me is a good mustard sauce to dip them in, I'd rather have a Maine Lobster everyday and twice on Sunday over stone crabs.

Dungeness = best crab. Don't ignore the crab butter in the shell.

Other than size, never understood the attraction of King or, Snow crabs, no flavor.

We feast on those rascals every summer at our cabin in the San Juans. Very tasty.

Nice pic and I'm sure they were good. All seafood is good to me.

How do you do that? My wife is from Port Angeles Wa. and we've caught hundreds of Dungeness crabs over the years and you throw them in boiling water alive to cook them. No other way that I've ever heard of. You clean them after they're cooked. Then you either eat them cold or just warmed up.

We used to throw out crab pots early in the morning and then go clam digging. Later in the day we'd go out and catch a few bottom fish, then pick up the crab pots and have the best seafood dinner with the whole family. Those were some of the best days of my life.

Jim

An Alaska State Trouper knocked on this guys door, "Sir, I've got some bad news and some good news".

"The bad news is we pulled your wife's body up out of the bay this morning."

"The good news is that she had eight Dungeness crabs attached to her and we'll be pulling her up again tomorrow morning."
