BelwolfJonathan Turley on the American Bar Association
The Rise and Fall of the ABAI think it’s great that this once respected association has lost its respect and is dying due to the interference/take over by leftists.
A question for our forum lawyers, does the ABA still have any sway where you practice?
“Posterity! You will never know how much it cost the present Generation to preserve your Freedom! I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven, that I ever took half the Pains to preserve it.”

ArtieSYeah, I read that article. I'm not a member, and haven't been so since the early 90s when every member of my firm was a member, courtesy of the firm.
"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Sacramento JohnsonI thought this info in that article was very interesting as well:
"Notably, the American Medical Association — which also been accused of becoming increasingly political — has experienced the same drop from a high of representing 75 percent of the nation’s doctors to just 15 percent in recent years."
They too, have become a leftist mouthpiece. I never joined the AMA and am glad to see the majority of my fellow physicians aren't with them, either...

True enough. Almost all the professional medical organizations have turned left.
Sadly, some of the better journals have also dived right in head first.

abnmacvAfter law school joined the ABA as many did. Within a few years read the hard left drift and did not remain a member. On candidates for the USSC they ABA calls every conservative unqualified and dangerous. Every lefty candidate qualified regardless of their lack of judgment.
