Where they put you in a pod full of warm salt water and you just float there in the dark for an hour with some fufu music? This warm then cold then warm then cold weather is keeping my sore. Looking at some ways to loosen up a bit. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Not that. But I do just float in the pool. I just let the body go limp. Air in the lungs keep me afloat. Snorkel when face down works. Relaxing. When I just hold my breath face down, I’ve alarmed a few people that thought I had drowned. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." Never done float therapy but I have always felt relaxed whenever I have floated in the water. I know salt water is good for your skin. I've gone on week-long dive trips and spent 30+ hours in the ocean over the week. My skin is always better after. Even in places like Bonair where you walk in/out of the water from the beach with all your gear my muscle are always good. I don't know about the music but just floating weightlessness and salt water has always been good to me. _____________________________________ Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. If it's done right it can be very relaxing. It isn't like floating in a pool or in the ocean. The salt is the help you float without effort. The water is held at a temperature so you don't feel it at all. It's like when you're asleep in bed and the temperature is "just right" and you don't feel the sheets. The goal is to feel like you're actually floating in air. You have to completely relax and let your mind stop thinking about what is happening...this is what makes it so relaxing...to let you transcend your being. They play music so that your mind doesn't panic from the lack of sensory input. No, Daoism isn't a religion

I’ve gone multiple times. The pods I used had lights that were changeable by the user. Music was user option too. Could leave the top open or closed or in between. I even had them adjust water temp on subsequent visits. It was very relaxing. Highly recommend.

Sounds exactly like the description of the place we have here. Sounds very nice just was not sure if it was a bunch of nonsense or not. Sounds like it is exactly what I am looking for. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I’m thinking a float down a river in a tube or maybe a canoe would do as much.

That’s pretty much how Joe Rogan explains it. He has one and says it’s extremely relaxing because of the sensory deprivation. I thought it was more for the mind than the body but I can see a benefit to both. Pretty interesting.

I took my daughter, 14 years old at the time, to try it to help in overcoming an injury. She loved it, it looked very peaceful and minerals made her skin look (cleared acne) and feel (softness) amazing. If I did not already have a monthly massage service, I probably would have tried it myself.
