Buy a small electric coffee grinder for $10-15 and grind what you need when you need it, using the coffee you like. Or, use instant.

For those recommending Costco, are you talking Cafe Don Pablo?
No, the recommendation is for Costco's "house" brand: Kirkland Signature.
When I lived in the NYC metro area, I used to really like Martinson's, but I have not seen that brand in any of the local stores here in Florida.

old rugged crossThanks guys, we do have a grinder and in the morning do the grinder thing.
I am just looking for a decent ground coffee for making a quick pot in the afternoon if the urge arises. I am going to look when I can get to a grocery store in the near future.

HawgsterThe Costco coffee that we drink is the 3# can of 100% Colombian coffee. Supremo bean, fine ground. $9 for a 3# can. Very worthy!!

old rugged crossOk guys, I made it a Wally W. recently. They had more than I thought.
Remember I said cheaper ground coffee? Well many of the recommendations were well, not cheap.
I ended up with 8'0 clock french. It was like $5 for 12oz.
They also had the Gevalia, but that was really expensive.
I also bought what hawgster recommended right above this post. The Kirkland columbia Sumpremo. I am going to try some of the 8'0 here for after dinner.
Nother question about how do you store your ground coffee. Do anything special after opening?
Thanks again all.

That is what we drink. And a lot of it considering there are only 2 of us the vast majority of time.

old rugged crossJust thought I would update a bit.
i have tried the costco columbian. It is decent. Not great.
The Gevelia. It too was ok. Did not really care for it.
The eight o clock was the winner of what I have tried. It was pretty darn good.
Have not found choke full of nuts or Aldi's as of this time.

Same here, local grocery has it buy one / get one free every 8 - 10 weeks so I stock up then. I like the French Roast, good body and strong enough for my taste.

sasquatch28I like Community, the wife prefers Folgers Columbian. Both are agreeable. With the Folgers, I add an extra scoop.
