Update, pg. 3: What do you guys like for a cheaper ground coffee
We like a dark full body french roast that we grind. Looking for a cheaper ground coffee if I want a few cups during the day.

Do you just buy a folger, walmart, mjb type canned ground coffee. Looking for something that makes a decent cup and is available at the basic grocery store. Thoughts.

We drink a LOT of coffee and have for many years. Since Tschibo brand is not available here, we have been using Kirkland coffee. Makes a very decent cup of coffee.

A friend served me some of this. Remarkably good for a standard grocery store variety. I suggest you give it a try.

Although I prefer whole bean and grind my own. For ground coffee and a great price I like the German roast from Aldi.

Long before all of the current batch of "designer" coffees came on the scene people from Louisiana were sending Community Coffee care packages to their friends, relatives and acquaintances who lived out of state. As a child, and I am 63, I remember my parents sending these care packages to several of their friends.

Community Coffee is reasonably priced, readily available and in my opinion, better than most of the overpriced designer brands. Far better than any of the Starbucks varieties.

All the above, and you might see if you have an Aldis near you. Pretty good.

OK, I've seen this Community Coffee brand mentioned around here a few times.

What flavor/roast are y'all liking.

If you like a regular leaded coffee I'd suggest the medium roast Breakfast blend. If that isn't flavorful enough step it up to their dark roast.

Aldi has a German roast that comes in a 500g brick (17.6 oz) that is just great and it's a great price too:
