I never really thought about it until I was describing a dream the other day. I realized that even though I knew who I was dreaming about, I never saw her face. Now that I think about it, I rarely see an actual face in my dreams. Do you?

All the time.

Sometimes, but I rarely remember my dreams, maybe 1 or 2 a year.

A lot of the time I do.
When I do
It's because I want to.

Over a period of five days I had four movie or tv stars in my dreams, two of them acted like they nee me or new of me.

On those rare occasions when I can't make out faces or the dreams are scary, upsetting or unsettling,
It means that something in my daily life has me at odds,
Either with a relationship, maybe finances or perhaps a business transaction.

Yep...and since I started cpap last year, dreams are more vivid, realistic, and I remember more of them. Sometimes they are so much fun, I try to go back to sleep right away.

Faces, colors, smells, reading, painting signs, heck I even dreamt that I was both people in the same conversation.

Had fallen off of the 'big cliff' and bounced off the bottom (tried to get up and walk with compound fractures). Dreaming in my dreams, fighting Superman over a light switch, and even committed suicide and saw the aftermath.

It is kinda crazy how realistic dreams can sometimes be. Retuning & continuing the same dream weeks later.

My most recent went from buying a house in Chicago on a cul-de-sac that had been gutted by fire, fixing it up, finding a time warp under the rafters. Was transported back to 1936. Whale oil lamps, burning candles to do homework, and using the hand pump to fill the kitchen sink... Bad news? The 1936 version of the house had a back door that warped to medieval times. The dragon in the cave in the back yard was always pissed and took the guy's wife. Injected the dragon with four gallons of poison (**tricky**) so he could no longer breath fire and took the lady with me. Bad move! She was such a Bi**h! I gave her back to the dragon and apologized as I gave it the antidote and left.

Went to the 1936 house and crawled through the floor to warp back to current time. Poured a 4' slab over the warp, and burned the rest of the house to the ground. Made the yard in to a hiking trail to the park that met up to the back yard. Problem was, I had to put up six porta-potties along the trail. Only had one flush valve and could store water in a tank on the 4' slab. Had to calculate the pipe diameter for the lines so they could flush, but not flood the next one. The curves in the trail were got 3" pipe and the straights got 6" pipes since the potties were closer there. Worked fine and I donated everything to the park.

...um, so, yeah... I see faces (and miniature burning skulls under the floorboards) in my dreams. Aliens, abandoned space colonies, and riding in UFOs as well. The fun part was that the aliens look different from time to time, but they smell really bad when you depressurize their craft from 50 PSI to a vacuum.

I'll assume my brain creates faces and personalities in dreams and that they aren't faces I've seen somewhere if only for an instant.

Same here. I honestly don't know if I see faces or not. I may recall a few flashes of details from the dream when I wake up, but not often. Usually if I do remember something it's just a lingering emotion, like happiness, sadness, or fear.

Yep. I also had an unfortunate incident where I REALLY had to pee in a dream.

This is weird. I don't dream often, but when I do, I know the people, but can't say say I saw their faces, except for the alligator that was trying to steal my fish and I beat the crap out of him with my fly rod to subdue him, them put him in a choke hold using the reel end of the rod on his throat. Why was there an alligator in a clear trout stream?

No, I never see faces.

In fact, I have a form of facial blindness in that I hardly recognize anyone by sight. Voices? I can pick them out in a crowd, but ask me to describe a relative? I can't do it. Not even my wife.

It's quite frustrating for me, but I'm told it's not as uncommon as one would think.

Yes. All the time. But an interesting aside: sometimes the character/person in the dream does not look like I know him/her to look. In other words, I know that character in my dream is so and so, but it doesn't look like him/her. I sometimes even have the thought as I'm dreaming that that's Joe or Suzy, but that's not what he/she looks like. Other times they do look like themselves, and other times they are just characters/people I don't know. But, yeah, I see faces.
