TSEHow to find company post-divorce?
I divorced and left the army at 40. I used dating sites for a while and had pretty good luck. I can’t say I had a bad dating experience but there were a few bland ones. I did find my current wife there too. She was an exceptional catch and I consider myself blessed to have found her. That was 20 years ago.

jimmy123xDaring sites are fun. Pick up a hobby whether it be fishing, golfing, trap shooting, boating, etc. They're hobbies you can do on your own (without it being weird), but then you'll meet other people and find friends while doing those hobbies.

Yup. Based on sixteen years of observation in gyms I would not think them a good place to try to meet women.
I would say amateur sports would be a better bet. Particularly amateur sports in which men and women compete with/against/around one another. My current Hobby of the Week, golf, for example.

Ryanp225The way to find the right "company" is to not do a thing to search for "company".
Do you and work on yourself. Go to the gym, ride motorcycles, go on fishing/golfing trips with buddies. Make your home a reflection of who you are and live the way you want to live.
Be happy with you and your every day life.
When you live like this women tend to notice and see you as a high value person and you'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing who to spend time with.
As a divorced 40 something man myself I can certainly relate. All I can say is they are never yours: it was just your turn. So make sure a woman is a compliment to your life and NEVER the focus.
