nhtagmemberMalware Bytes
Was Malware Bytes the program that was downloading and installing Norton when you thought you were just getting MB?
Seems to me I remember an issue with one of these programs

bald1If memory serves someone D/Led from OTHER than the official Malwarebytes site which is invariably a good way to get malware or other problems.

Pipe SmokerI have the free version of Malwarebytes, and I’ve never seen anything like that.
The free version doesn’t provide real-time protection. My method: Once a day I:
* Disconnect from the Internet.
* Run a Malwarebytes scan (10 seconds).
* Backup my computer.
* Reconnect to the Internet when the backup is complete.
That way I know that all of my backups are clean.
