Dang, I lived on Ford Island from 85 to 88 next to the USS Utah. No wonder I have PTSD, it's because the Japanese attacked in 41.

Whew, that explains a lot. Thx.

Yep, I'm with ya on that. Virtually everything about this encounter was a cluster.

A city run by maggots that are pro-criminals and anti-police? Don't get your hope up.

This is how its done. This is one of the very few examples I can think of that shows a female LEO handle a gunfight like a true badass.

To be fair, isn't this the type of PD the residents asked for through their voting for anti-police politicians?

That shit is so ridiculous you'd think it wouldn't even be believable in a movie. But that "checks two boxes" holds true in the military, too.

He shot at her, she returned fire and dumped 15 rounds into that car! Holy shit, that should have solved the problem.

Please do not denigrate female officers as a group based upon the shortcomings of some. Some of the best, baddest ass police officers and agents I have known were females who could handle themselves better than many men in a scrape. What you see in this video is a failure of training, leadership, and perhaps the selection process but does not reflect female officers as a whole, any more than Chauvin reflects all male officers as a whole. That is true of all demographics as well

Agree with previous posters - this is a poorly trained police officer and gender is not really a factor.

And a few pages back someone mentioned a "primal" scream. That was not a primal scream - that was fear and cowardice being vocalized.

Mere coincidence it was two female officers who handled this about as poorly as it could be handled, then?

That was hard to watch.

We have one officer who does the thumb thing. I’ve given up trying to correct him.

We have one female officer and I would take her as backup to some of the guys on my department.

I know she won’t be screaming like that. We’ve been in a few fights and she’s held her own.

Not minority enough!

Statistics and reality are in play here. Why aren't half of our armed forces women? Not just this nation, but all nations, and all throughout history. Why aren't armies all female?

All throughout history, who has done the fighting? Who have been the police and the armies?

In bars, who are the bouncers? Who goes to investigate the noise in the middle of the night?

When it comes to people whose job it is to confront and subdue violence, they are overwhelmingly male. Is there even a single all-female police force in existence? If so, it must be the world's smallest police department we're talking about, consisting of one single person.

Are there excellent female police officers? Of course. Are there males who should never have put on the badge? Of course, but you can't ignore reality and you can't discount the statistics.

The blonde officer literally ran out the door to call for help. Completely abandoning her partner. The touchy feely deescalation/ hands off approach they are teaching officer are going to get one of them killed. She was completely justified shooting him in the back as he had the knife raised over his head advancing on the other officer.

Hey Para, was that the same fixed blade knife you were looking at? Wink

Ask yourself if you could imagine two male officers doing the same thing we saw in that video. We live in an age where people seem to think they can ignore reality and ignore some of the most basic facts about males and females, and about who does the heavy lifting in this world, speaking both metaphorically and realistically. I'm just not going to play that game. I don't care who it offends.

Things are now as they've always been; men, on average, are physically larger and possess more body strength than women. Men are bolder and far more self-assured in physical confrontations. In times of war, men do the fighting. Anyone who wants to argue with these things is simply not facing reality.

In a fight, I want men backing me up, and only men.

No, I'm looking for one without any "crazy" attached to it.

"In bars, who are the bouncers?"
By Para

In my five years of bouncing, three nights per week,

Never saw a female bouncer,
But out of the 45 interactions that I took part in,

98% had females involved,in some form.
Maybe they weren't swinging and wrestling, but they were "in it" somehow.

I want to know what the man with the knife was saying in the store.
He HAD to see them enter and knew they really wouldn't do anything.
