An American Flag
Postman was just here, he left this inside the storm door.

An ordinary, perhaps run of the mill item. But, not to me, it is meaningful, due to this;

I had wanted to do this for awhile, however there simply wasn't any way I would have done it during the previous administration. I did not want to acknowledge that person in any way, shape or form. I have to admit that I got excited and a little choked up when I saw what the package contained. Now I just need to acquire one of the flag display cases and a frame for the certificate.

I have one of those from when I was in middle school. Grandma got a senator to do it for me when I made the honor roll for the first time. Still have it nearly 30 years later, the flag is slightly faded as I used it for a window blind when I was a kid, wish I understood about UV fading at the time.

That’s pretty fantastic, Club. Congratulations.

My sister was in Iraq, and the helicopter crew that she worked with flew one and she shipped it back with a certificate signed by the pilots, along with a pic of her and the crew. It’s all displayed proudly in my living room.

All of the above. Very cool.

On a similar note. Sent a request and a pix of my folks on their 50th anniversary to GW's WH asking him to sign and return. As we heard they would do that. Never heard a word. Kind of glad as it turned out. They would of enjoyed it though.

That’s cool. Do they charge for that ? I got one when I earned my Eagle Scout. Never asked if it had to be paid for. My congressman and senators are all full blown commies so Only reason I’d want one currently is because of DJT.
