Hundreds of ballots in Washington state were potentially damaged after authorities reported that a Vancouver ballot drop box was burned in a Monday morning arson.

The Clark County Elections box located at the Fisher’s Landing Transit Center was “lit on fire this morning,” KATU News reporter Evan Bell said on X with a video of first responders extinguishing a flaming pile of ballots:



Hundreds of ballots were inside the box at the time of the fire, though it is not immediately clear how many may have been damaged, Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey said.

“KATU was told there were likely only a few that could be saved,” the outlet reported.

Investigators told the local station that the incident is believed to be connected to another drop box arson incident in Portland, Oregon.

This is a crazy idea, but I wonder if in person voting with an ID would prevent such things from happening. Just a thought...

Having unsecured drop off boxes is a recipe for disaster - which is why they want this

They want plausible denial and if there was an early surge of republican votes, if you burn the ballots you dont need to count them.

I was thinking about it, and it reminds me a little of the last election. After Trump lost, some guys went around shooting up some power substations out in Spanaway. Spanaway has been kind of the butt of many a meth joke and was at one time the boonies, not so much the boonies anymore, but still boonie enough.

Anyway, the TDS was still very strong at the time, so the Blues were 'sperging out claiming this was the start of the MAGA revolution, it had to be! Anybody pointing out that was retarded was shouted down. Spanaway is where Trump dudes live, why would they disable their own power? "Because MAGA is dumb, of course!" It was just a lot of dumbass stereotyping with nothing to back it up except their own prejudices.

Fast forward a bit and the guys get caught, and in a twist that shocked nobody except the (D)ipshits, it turns out they were a couple tweakers doing tweaker shit.

They do it every time there's some weird random acts of violence too. Every summer there's fires along the freeways. "It's MAGA trying to kill firefighters, or divert resources while they do something else!" And then it turns out it was some fuckhead throwing a lit cigarette out into the dry grass, or some homeless junkie knocking over his stove, or another junkie doing what the gremlin living in his eyebrow tells him what to do.

They want so badly for there to be actual terrorism, but it just never pans out.

These ‘drop boxes’ are a thing in WI also, mostly deep blue areas. Part of the reason, is penalties are lower with shenanigans than putting harvested ballots into the U.S. Mail system. Asking to return the ballot to the local town hall or into the mail system is just too much, ostensibly.

WI is very divided, not long ago the State Supreme Court flipped with 4 lefty women judges. Right away a drop boxes case was steered in front of the court.

A few weeks ago, the Mayor of Wausau, WI moved a ballot drop box to a more secure area. In the spirit of the ‘Jan 6’ events, his home was ordered raided by the lefty State attorney generals office. This is just for moving a drop box. It’s a form of lawfare on the state level.

A few different reasons I reckon.

1) They don't want to pay for it.

2) If they're unguarded things like this can happen and they can crow about political violence.

3) Anybody who does call for them to be guarded can be called a racist/fascist trying to suppress votes because certain people aren't comfortable with having security/police around; voter intimidation.

4) They honestly didn't think that far ahead.
