I Deal In Lead |
My first set of hearing aids were behind the ear. I was never totally happy with them because they lacked the natural directionality my ears have and the way I've heard sound for most of my life. Then on a particularly hot, humid day, sweat ran down and drowned the one behind my right ear and it died. Tried to dry it out in desiccant, but it was beyond saving. Got an inspiration and got some ITC hearing aids. Sweat doesn't get down there, and neither does rain. A bonus was that now my hearing directionality was exactly the same as it had been all my life. Much better for me. ITC is all I'll use now. I even use amplified ITC earplugs for shooting (Walker's Silencers).

Or starting a sentence when she is in the same room, and then continuing to talk while walking away. WHAT? When in doubt, mumble

That's how I wear mine too. They haven't been a problem for me. My eye Doc. said my frames are good for wearing HA's too. _______________________________________________________ And no, junior not being able to hold still for 5 seconds is not a disability.

It's a female thing. Every guy I know says his wife does this same thing.

My wife does the same thing. Often it's we're having a conversation, I think it's done, so I start to walk away. Then, just as I'm out of earshot, "yadda yadda yadda..." *sigh* Walk back. "What?" Just got back to this issue. I went to Costco's website and got prices. Yes, you can get behind the ear hearing aids for those prices, but you can't get ITC ones for that price. They're extremely expensive, around $2,500.00/pair, which is around 2-1/2 times as much as the OTC ITC hearing aids and the price I quoted was for ITC hearing aids. This message has been edited.
