The Covid old folks home/hospital death scandal linch mob seems to have quieted down. (odd how year old news suddenly became "news" and a hot topic. Now this. Hmmm.... the hits keep coming.
Our big fear in NY is that whomever is pulling the strings on all this, wants him out so they can get an even more controllable puppet in his place.

As a former NY resident ( thanks king Andrew for the final push to relocate !) I can not believe they could come up with someone worse than cuomo. It does seem his utility to the left has expired. One can only hope his issues will make him so distraught he will find a bridge and jump!

Yep. It looks like it's intended to be insurance but can sorta function like a red flag. This is a city that has AOC as one of its Congressional representatives so yeah, they can go pretty low.
Andrew Yang is a popular candidate in early mayoral contests, however name recognition only goes so far, and he's no friend of the far-left progressives. Remains to be seen how much more NYC wants to lurch to the left and immerse itself in ideological disfunction.

AOC has been reported as considering challenging Schumer in the next primary. I could see her switching her sights over to Cuomo, or putting together a 'squad' of challengers for various New York offices that would include someone else to vie to replace Cuomo. I don't know how good her odds would be, but I can see her thinking that the latter option might be a brilliant and/or inspiring move.
