Request Participation in Local Newspaper Poll
The Idaho State Journal is a local paper serving southeastern Idaho.

It's schizophrenic in its editorial policy -- has strong anti-gun/leftist liberal influence stemming from the university community in Pocatello, yet also routinely runs several relatively pro-gun/outdoor enthusiast columnists.

Today it has a poll on its news home page that asks this simple question: "Do you favor more or less gun control?"

As of the time of this posting, only 26 people have responded to the poll and the "More" supporters have outnumbered the "Less" supporters by 15 to 11.

Yes, it's only a newspaper poll. Yet it is not meaningless in terms of the influence it has on local politics in southeastern Idaho. I posted yesterday about how things in this area are changing for the worse (that post is at this URL: Some Local Election Results to be Happy About), and an anti-gun result on this local poll will only embolden the local hoplophobes, many of whom are deeply involved in the local political scene.

So, please, go to the paper's news home page at this URL and respond to the poll with a repudiation of the "More" gun control nonsense these local hoplophobes are looking for! Here's the LINK! You'll find the poll in the right hand margin near the bottom of the web page.
