My Dad had one like that, but something happened to some of his tools when we settled his estate - the brace and bits have gone missing. Please consider me for your generous karma; I have a lot holes to bore in 2x6's

thanks

Here I thought nobody would be interested. I'll give it a few days and draw a wiener.

Amazing response so far!

Please count me in.

My dad, a life long old school carpenter and home builder had one that looked just like that one but since his passing I cannot find it or his hand plane. I expect they were stolen by a shady employee but I cannot prove it. While I realize it wouldn’t be his actual tool I would love to display it in my man cave as a reminder, and even use it on occasion. I have been looking for one at yard sales and flea markets but haven’t found that similar and in decent shape. Thank you for the opportunity.

Would this be a suitable substitute? My Grandfather owned a cabinet shop, I have a surplus of these, but don't wish to sell them. I'd rather give them to people who would appreciate them. It is still usable.

I'd be happy to send this to you. I have, a few.

Please include me . I had one that my wife's grandfather had given me . After the flood of 2016 it disappeared from my garage along with a lot of other tools . The crew that was gutting my house walked off with a lot of my stuff .

My Great-grandfather had a set just like these and knew how to use them. I will put these to use if I win the karma.

Thats simply awesome. Yes! If it isnt the exact same it is very nearly so. I can well remember my dad making shavings! Of corse he tought me to use and even sharpen it as well, I worked for him for years. It will be taken care of and used as well. Your generosity is overwhelming. At least allow me to reimburse you for shipping.

Ill PM YOU.

This is a real beauty. I belong the the San Diego Fine Working Association and would like to donate to the member wood working shop if I was selected. We opened up the shop last June and it is really going great. While is is well equipped with power tools, the desire of many members to work with hand tools is high. We do not have a brace and bits and this wood be great. Please add me to the list and thanks for your generosity.

I've actually been looking for the bits and brace at antique shops and garage sales but most have been neglecting long ago.

The double twist auger bits are a nice bonus. Please do not enter me, as I have a good supply of both braces and bits.

Great karma. Please don’t count me in. However, I could use a supply of different size holes from the lucky winner of that fine tool. Smile
