The latest is that they found him dead in the room, First responders did not take him down. Over 400 transported to various hospitals. 10 rifles in the room. Marylou Danley located out of the country and interviewed. Not believed to have been involved at this time.

Authorities just confirmed that when they breached the room, the suspect was already deceased.

In Vegas, every move you make is on video except for your room or bathrooms so there will be a ton of video evidence forthcoming.

This is tough to wake up to. So many families will be devastated.

I want to know how he got so many weapons in the hotel.

When I was there back in the spring, security was unbelievable.

I can't see that as practical.

According to statements made by LE officials at one of the press conferences this morning, he had at least 8 guns and had been staying in that hotel room since Thursday.

4 days is plenty of time to bring in eight firearms, hidden in various bits of luggage, possibly spread out over more than one trip. Even if all eight were full-size belt-fed MGs, he could have easily brought them in one at a time in a suitcase or duffel bag, making just two trips per day over 4 days. And if there was only one or two MGs plus various other rifles and handguns, he easily could have gotten them all in one trip, packed in just one or two bags.

One of many thousands of tourists going up to a hotel room with a piece or two of luggage isn't suspicious. It's not like he must have strolled through the casino openly carrying multiple MGs.

It wouldn't be hard. Just take an AR and take down the upper and lower and it'd fit in almost any good sized suitcase along with as many magazines as he wanted to carry.

Been watching since I got up at 6:20. I just can’t believe the horror. To just be a defenseless sitting duck. God be with those affected. I have no words..

I heard several reports he had his roommate's Mandalay Bay employee identification card. This is not yet confirmed by the LVSO.

This just sickens me on multiple levels. Lifting up prayers for those affected, this country, and our leaders.

I would think luggage would be easy enough, especially something like a golf club travel bag. I found one online at 55" x 22" 19", and I could easily get 7 or 8 rifles in mine. If you had to a couple of trips in and out would look like you just went out and played a round of golf. But, with so many conferences in Vegas with booth display, av equipment, etc being shuttled in and out, I doubt oversize luggage raises an eyebrow.
