The gunman who unleashed hundreds of rounds of gunfire on a crowd of concertgoers in Las Vegas had two "bump-stocks" that could have converted semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic ones, officials said.

Stephen Paddock had 23 guns in his hotel room

Two officials familiar with the investigation told the AP that Paddock had two bump stocks. They are investigating whether those stocks were used to modify weapons used in the massacre, according to the officials, who were briefed by law enforcement and spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still unfolding

As has probably already been said - regarding the possibility of more than one perpetrator:

Las Vegas casinos probably have more hi-res cameras in operation per square foot than anywhere else in the world.

There are cameras EVERYWHERE.

So that footage will be researched and any possible collaborators identified. It will take time but you know all that footage will be studied to verify he was a lone gunman.

Paddock had 42 firearms.

He took 23 of those guns into his Mandalay Bay suite over several days

Among the weapons found in the room were four Daniel Defense DDM4 rifles, three FN-15s and other rifles made by Sig Sauer. A handgun was also found.

I love the irony in her statement (her lawyer's stament actually). She wants sympathy because she's been getting death threats over expressing a lack of sympathy for people who actually got killed.

The positive stories are starting to come out of people rendering aid to one another. More and more we will hear about them.

It helps to not focus on the batshit crazy, and focus on the good in people.

It's being reported that Jason Aldean did run off the stage...and grabbed as many people as he could and got them to cut under the stage and into his trailer. This from one of the fans whom he led to some semblance of safety.

Another man who was wounded spoke of suddenly not being able to stand anymore. The stranger next to him told him that he had been shot, picked him up, and carried him to his truck where the stranger used a belt to tourniquet.

Yep. Would not be noticed in many places. I bet if you tried to check in NYC hotel there might be an issue.

Not during a convention. As a yoof, I worked in the biggest hotel in NYC. Convention / show time, flatbed carts loaded with all sorts of cases rolled in and out, via the freight elevators. Nobody, not staff, not hotel security, gave a second glance to anything.
