olfuzzyRoute 91 fest Vegas shooting?
The sad thing about this, other than the obvious of people getting killed and wounded, is that if the FBI gets their hands in the investigation we will never know for sure if what we hear is the truth.

only two things I'd like to know:
1. was he a muslim convert
2. what was his registered political affiliation
Who cares? Both things do not matter. As Trump said, this was evil. By grouping people into different things like religion or political groups it makes them easier to demonize and exterminate.
actually they do matter - a very great deal
two things are apparently becoming toxic to this country:
muslim extremism
violent extremist democrats

The FBI is probably the best shot at figuring out what made this guy tick. Not saying that I care for them but probably the best option.

As time passes on, this very well might be the method the shooter used for "auto fire" mode, explains the inconsistent cycling. ABC news (and I won't link them) mentions rifles with "bump stocks" ("devices used for full auto"

) , same with Fox. I would think if a real Class III firearm(s) was used, we'd hear about it by now.
ABC is also reporting that the shooter had a camera inside the hotel room, the assumption that he was recording his actions. Sounds like speculation, but who knows what the fucker was up to.

nhtagmemberagain, he's dead so you won't know what made him 'tick' -and even if you did, it won't matter because its too late
but the two indicators will be if he was muslim and a radical left democrat
thats really all you need to know - everything else is just warm piss now that its over
what were this monster's underlying motivations?

I think what he was saying is that we may never find out whatever they find out.
I don't doubt the FBI's skills, but I don't trust them as far as I can throw them these days.

dry-flyNot that the public would be given the information...but if the weapon(s) used were NFA items you better believe the ATF would know every single bit of info there is on them within a few hours max.

justjoeIt's pretty rare for me not to agree with Para, but I don't think this guy was just crazy. He was way too quiet, for one thing. Crazy people post crazy shit on their FB. They rant to friends, family, neighbors. Somebody knows they were crazy.
If they "snap," they do something rash, impulsive-- deadly maybe, but they don't manage to shoot hundreds of people.
His lover just happens to be out of the country when he unleashes his plans.
ISIS has said he was a soldier, and I will probably be flamed, but I think it is a possibility. He is far from the typical profile, but not unheard of. So was the shoe bomber, and there have been other Caucasian Western converts. Weird stuff happens.
I know I could be wrong. And I should probably just be-- safely-- quiet. But from the start it seemed to me that there is a more complex story here than that a crazy man killed a lot of people.

Pale HorseCrazy day.
I have a lot of friends and coworkers who were there working for various bands including Jason Aldean. I have not heard from them all yet but I know they are all safe. I know a lot of people hate Facebook, including me at times, but it sure was nice to get pretty instant updates from companies, individuals and through industry pages that everyone I knew was safe.

sdy https://www.nbcnews.com/storyl...t-identified-n806471The suspected gunman behind the Las Vegas massacre made several large gambling transactions in recent weeks, according to multiple senior law enforcement officials and a casino executive.
On several occasions, Stephen Paddock gambled more than $10,000 per day — and in some cases more than than $20,000 and $30,000 a day — at Las Vegas casinos, according to an NBC News source who read the suspect's Multiple Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and a casino gaming executive.
According to a U.S. statute, a CTR is a Treasury- and IRS-mandated report that casinos have to file when "each transaction in currency involving cash-in and cash-out of more than $10,000 in a gaming day."
It was not immediately clear if those transactions were losses or wins.
One of his brothers said Stephen Paddock made money through apartment buildings, which he owned and managed with his mother, who lives in Florida.
He added that his brother, who lived in Mesquite, Nevada, about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, was a laid-back, "never-in-a-hurry" type of guy. Bruce said his brother was a law-abiding citizen who never did anything violent prior to the shooting.
Public records show Stephen Paddock lived a relatively transient life, having 27 different residences in California, Texas and Nevada.

He was a transient for a reason.
