Poor english. He should just say your sins are forgiven, not your sins are forgiven you.

Congrats Cous2492.

Funny thing, I showed my wife this thread and we watched the scene in question. She was on the right track as she said to me.....would he really be able to stand after being paralyzed for 20+ years?

Congratulations Cous2492, and thank you for another fine round of excitement 12131!

Most importantly (to me anyways), thanks for sending me vigorously rifling through the pages of God's Word on these hunts. Winning the guns would be awesome, but real treasure is found in the pages of scripture, a place I don't find myself as often as I should Smile

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! Winner winner chicken dinner!
OUSTANDING! Yup, that stood out like a sore thumb to me the first time I watched the movie. If you've been paralyzed for 20 years, not moving at all, your muscles would all be atrophied. This "paralytic" has real muscular forearms. This was an example of casting the wrong person for the part. Guess that director slept through the anatomy & physiology class. Big Grin

Thank you everyone for participating. I really appreciate it.

Wow! Thank you so much! Like I said before, your prize will be in heaven. These posts get people thinking about what really matters.

Very impressive powers of observations on both the OP's and winners part.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
