Ah, the good old days eh?

Every vehicle I had until the mid 90s had the floor dimmer. I miss them and wish they'd bring them back. The dimmer on the blinker arm is a pain in the ass.

Where's the "like button" for this comment?

If you really want something you'll find a way ...
... if you don't you'll find an excuse.

I'm really not a "kid" anymore ... but I haven't grown up yet either Wink

I bitched up a storm when they moved the headlight dimmer switch from the floor to the steering column. I thought WTF!

If they started putting them on the floor again, I’d probably bitch up a storm again. Change. It’s a bitch, then ya get used to it. Old and always grumpy.

What if I got the one on the right, but thought the one on the left was the parking brake?

My first car was a 1962 Plymouth Valiant. I pushed the floor dimmer switch and my foot went right through the rusted out floor. The entire switch came loose so no headlights.

I was in the country a couple of miles from home. Turn on my turn signals and drove it on in. Never met another car. My Dad ripped out almost all of the floorboard and replaced with something he fabricated and welded in.

That car had the old slant six engine and I drove for several years more years while in school until I got drafted.

Still ran great so I gave it to a nephew when I went on my senior trip overseas courtesy of Uncle Sam.
