I have been trying to find 2 jams that have the real flavor and fruit I enjoy. The one is Choke-cherry jam and the other is Raspberry jam. I have tried many different ones , but they all seem to taste like sugar with the flavor of the berry. I know that the best is home made but I don't have contacts with anyone who does that anymore. If anybody could help me out a place or person I could buy some from it would be great, Respectfully, Gary T. This message has been edited. Last edited by: gt52842,

Hmm my sister in law always gives us home made chokecherry jam, pretty damn good. I'll ask if the person does it as a hobby or sells it.

I think I saw them once, opening for The Grateful Dead back in the 70's.
But that memory is a bit hazy, man...

I hunt in SD evdery year and we drive through the tiny town of Sargent, NE. There is a very old and faded sign at the edge of town that proclaims "The choke cherry capital of the world."

We used to pick choke cherries when I was a kid in N. Idaho. The trees grew wild along highways and roads.
Edit to add the name of a company that makes choke cherry jam.

Hell we can even get choke-cherry wine around here!
Used to pick them, but they never lasted long enough for mom to make jam. How about some good old huckleberry jam?
