Damn, another one gone.

Actor Clint Walker, best known for his role on the 1950s hit Cheyenne, has passed away at the age of 90.

The western icon's wife Susan and daughter Valerie were at his side during his final moments on Monday, according to sources close to the family who spoke to TMZ.

The towering talent, who stood at 6foot6, also made his mark with a part in the Charlton Heston classic The Ten Commandments in 1956.

Norman Eugene 'Clint' Walker was born in Hartford Illinois along with a twin sister named Lucy in 1927.

He left school at an early age, first working in factories and later enlisting in the Merchant Marines, and other odd jobs that included being a bouncer and a doorman at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas.

The talent had his star break on Cheyenne as the eponymous character, roaming cowboy Cheyenne Bodie.

The ABC/Warner Brothers western lasted for seven seasons from 1955 to 1963.

The actor was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2004.

During his career, Clint had the honor of starring in the only film ever directed by Frank Sinatra, None But The Brave, and also had a part in Robert Aldrich's The Dirty Dozen with Lee Marvin and Charles Bronson.

His last role was voicing the character Nick Nitro in 1998's Small Soldiers.

Throughout his life Clint was married three times, wedding Verna Garver (mother to his only child Valerie, 68) in 1948 and then Giselle Hennessy in 1974.

After Hennessy's death in 1994 he met Susan Cavallari and the couple were wed in 1997.

Not only actor, Clark co-authored a book with western author Kirby Jonas called Yaqui Gold in 2003.

Walker is survived by wife Susan and daughter Valerie.

... vale to Clint Walker.

From the TV series, to movies and personal appearances, bigger than life and a heart of gold.

I have these memories to keep and to hold.

Wow. 90 years old.

He was always one of my favorites.
I always liked his role in the Dirty Dozen

I always liked the movie None but the Brave but it was years later that I made the connection that it was Clint Walker

Yellowstone Kelly is another good movie.

He just had the easy going way.
Pretty good size individual also (6'6)
I like that picture of him posted with Jim Brown. Jim Brown was no slouch either.

I find it fascinating that he worked on a river boat and then joined the Merchant Marines in the last months of World War 2 at age 17.
After the Merchant Marines he worked as a night club bouncer and in sheet metal.

Cheyenne finished its original run when I was a baby, but I discovered it in reruns as an adult and have become a big fan of Mr. Walker's work. I know it was a TV show, but I'd love to see a professional version of Cheyenne Bodie's resume as he drifted from job to job over the seven seasons. Carrying on the drifting, he also got to portray Cheyenne on several other TV shows.

Rest in peace, Mr. Walker.
