Well, yeah, after I went in there to have them find and fix a slow leak and it turned out it was around a valve stem, due to corrosion of the valve stem seat.

When I mentioned it to the dealership they replied "yup," agreeing with DT.

Thanks for the replies, guys!

My gripe with them is when one TPMS is bad they tried to talk me into replacing all five saying “If one goes bad they are all going to go bad soon”. They tried that almost 50k and four years ago when one of my Wrangler’s needed to be replaced. Told him we’ll replace them as they go bad, the same way we replaced them in the dealerships I worked at.

They just tried that with my wife’s Liberty. As I told him replace the bad one only, with the small things that are happening to this vehicle we might hold onto it or maybe tomorrow my wife might decide she wants a new one. And I’m certainly not going to spend over two hundred dollars in unnecessary repairs as a gift to the dealer we trade it in at if for some reason she wakes up tomorrow morning and says “I want a new vehicle”

My one experience with DT and TPMS sensors was exactly the opposite of that.

I'd had a bad one on my TrailBlazer. Dealership wanted to replace all of them. I called DT. "Nonsense," they replied, "bring it in, we'll find the bad one, and replace just that one." And that's just what they did. Didn't even charge me the diagnostic fee.

When I mentioned to the guy at DT yesterday that experience being an example of the many reasons we buy all our tires at DT, he replied "Of course we wouldn't replace them all, and I've never charged anybody that diagnostic fee, either."

I had great mileage out of the Michelin LTX. Nearly 80,000 miles from a set. My only concern was winter snows while having a 3/4 worn out tire. My luck said that there would be several snows that winter. - There were multiple snow events.
So I have to decide to replace or not to replace before frozen precipitation begins.

We're getting this done just in time. With El Nina, they're forecasting a wetter-than-average winter here.

Rim leaks where the tire bead seals can be wire brushed clean and bead sealant applied. That would at least buy them some time.

Which store do you use? I’m not adverse to driving as the set on my Jeep were bought from a wholesaler I used when in dealerships but they no longer install them.

Sorry, but that's information a bit "closer to home" than I'm inclined to share in a public forum and, since the inept idiots at the thing that calls itself "AT&T" these days has all my mail servers blocked and no longer pays attention to de-listing requests, I can't email you, either.

They're further from Livingston Co. than I'd be willing to drive for tires and the like, for whatever that's worth.
