Trying to upgrade my trucks cellular amp, the new Wilson antenna has a 3/8 stud and the rotation mount I bought has a 1/2" hole.

Silly question but does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to makes it fit securely? I need a rotating mount as the antenna will stick up above the truck by 1.5' or so.

Or if anyone knows a different mount solution I would love to hear it.

You need a part like this https://www.amazon.com/SO-239-...DAPTER/dp/B00LND0M92 It has a nylon bushing to keep the radiating part away from the grounded area.

Ace Hardware will have bushings or stand offs to reduce the size of a hole. You may have to cut to length if they only stock longer ones. Nylon or Aluminum should work.

Check the local truck stop. They will have a radio area. They should have some type of an adaptor.

Sounds like you need a threaded bushing to make the 3/8" threads fit in the 1/2" threaded hole.

A high school or community college machine shop, or any machine shop, or hell, anyone who owns a lathe, could drill and tap the inside, single point thread the outside of a piece of scrap in about 10 minutes.
