They work for what we need. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's what I have as well, works fine for me. I use it 3 or 4 times a year.

Where can I send my torque wrenches in to get calibrated?

I have a 3/8" and 1/2" Craftsman that are about 10 years old each. Never dropped, always put back to zero and stored in their cases. These are US made Craftsman so I want to keep them.

A quick online search for torque wrench calibration for your area will provide numerous choices.

I bought a Proto 1/2 inch torque wrench on Craigslist for $50. It is very nice and also made in the U.S.A.. I bought it from an older gentleman that was moving into a retirement home. While I was in his garage, he offered to sell me several sets of sockets and ratchets. They were made by Wright, another high quality U.S. manufacturer, Snap On, and SK. He had $5 price stickers on each set because he just had a garage sale. I bought them all!

Hit the pawn shops that take in tools. Look for older Snap On, Mac or anything German torque wrench. Avoid Chinese made.

My Snap On 1/2" was purchased in 1967 and is still accurate. I use a 15 year old 3/8" USA made Craftsman for motorcycle adjustments.
