Dave BeanRadon fan replacement
So my Radon unit has stopped blowing/sucking. Amazon shows new units for $100-$200. So I call a local outfit and they said it would run $500-$600 for them to fix with 1 yr warranty. I thought plumbers and electricians were making bank!!!! WTF?!?! Located in the NorthEast area of Philly. Is this normal?!?!?!?

GraniteguyWhen is the last time you tested/measured radon levels in your living space(s)?

Dave BeanDuring purchase time, I noticed the unit was not working. I had a radon test done. 145. Had the previous owner fix it before closing. After the fix. 3.

nhtagmemberYou can probably replace it yourself. Don’t delay. Radon gas is a silent killer.

rexlesAround here the EPA has strict control on only Certified Radon companies can install or work on Radon systems.
I replaced a sump pump that I had to remove a Radon cover from. I installed it as it was previously and one day got a letter in the mail saying I was not certified and I couldn't do it again.
So I guess their basement can just flood next time
