Selling precious metals, coins, etc. What's the best way? Login/Join

I've accumulated a bit of physical silver, gold, rare coins, reloading supplies, all of which I simply can't move to Puerto Rico with me. I don't have to "dump" them however I probably only have a few months to sell everything off, especially the reloading supplies. If need be I can hold silver/gold/coins in a safe deposit box if I need longer to offload. What's the best method/way to go about it?

Call/contact Dave for the precious metals, would be my first suggestion.
He has a running thread in Classifieds on buying.

Any decent sized city will have someone buying precious metals. Call around and get bids.

You could just sell it here.

As a last resort I could do that, however I'd prefer to find ways to deal directly with the buyers so dealers aren't taking profits away from either of us.

I haven't had to sell things in a while so what's popular these days? FB marketplace? Craigslist? Armslist for firearm stuff? Anyone have any experience with silver/gold/coin forums where the members buy and sell the way we do here in our classifieds?

Unless it's local, isn't shipping and insurance going to eat into proceeds about the same as the discount a local dealer would take?

Dave will guide you in your process. The worst case scenario is that you get some good advice from a professional.

most gold dealers buy and sell at a percentage off the spot market rate.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I too am curious about coins. I have several sealed coins graded by PCGS and am curious of the best way to sell these. Should I sell on eBay, sell here, or try to find a local coin buyer? Never done this.
