As others have said. I places like New Mexico, Arizon, Texas. I'd look at ceramic tint. From what I understand it's way better at reflecting the heat. But it is usually more expensive of a product for the shop to buy.

So I'd price it out in ceramic. Especially if you have a dark car. On a white car you can probably get away with regular tint.

Need o check if the sunroof is tinted, probably worth getting that done too.

The last time I looked into it, TX only regulates the tint on the front doors, to 35% or lighter.

I'm jealous, we are 35 rears, 50 front, zero windshield. Personally I take mine to a shop I trust. High end shop for vehicle prep and mods on the rich, famous, and athletes (which there are tons of where I live). He charges reasonable prices for my Fusion or for a Lamborghini. He only uses one brand, but I trust him and his lifetime guarantee over any marketing brochures.

I would never consider a mobile guy unless I had a stack of referrals from trusted sources.

Knock on wood I went with 35% all around.. never had an issue. It's really not that dark, 20% on the other hand

Window tint won't keep your car much cooler while it's parked outside in the sun all day. What you will notice is that the sun doesn't beat in through the windows while you're driving, keeping you much more comfortable. As for the sunroof, my tint guy wouldn't do it. I forgot the exact reason why. No matter really, I've got an internal sun shade anyway.

I've got one car with Air 80% tint on the windshield. It helps and isn't really noticeable, even at night.

I have Llumar IRX Tint all around with Llumar Air 90 on my windshield. These are the ceramic films, and the heat rejection is great. For the IRX tint, they all provide 80ish% heat rejection regardless of how dark you go. I went with a combination of films that layered with the OEM glass color/tint so that I had a similar level of darkness all around for aesthetics.

If I had to do it over, I would do Llumar Air 80 on my windshiled. The Air 90 is clear, but only provides 50-ish% of IR rejection in the range that you can perceive as heat. The Air 80 is "virtually" clear, but has an slight bluish cast and provides something like 86% of IR rejection.

The heat difference between my side windows (IRX film, all providing 86% IR rejection) and the Air 80 (providing 50-ish%) is noticeable.

The installer recommended the Air-80 and I should have listened to him. My bad.

I have 3M Crystalline on my car and I really like it. It blocks 99% of UV and you don't feel the heat of the sun through the window.

3m Crystalline @ 50% on my bright red GTI in South Carolina. Well worth the money, would blow the cash for it again.

I'd like to disagree. I could tell a big difference on my G37 before & after. As well as my Genesis G80 before & after.

The G37 seats would be so hot you could barely touch them before the tint. After the car was obviously still hot. But significantly cooler.
