ScreamingCockatooMy project today(fixing a fender dent)
My co-worker backed into his niece's car.
And he wanted to avoid insurance and a huge repair bill on an old car.
He knew I painted a little and and asked if I could fix it. Picked up the paint last week.
She goes to the college up the street so they dropped it off this morning.
She can come get it tomorrow afternoon.
I always have clear coat left over so I sanded and shot her headlights too.
It's the little things.

ScreamingCockatooThe worst part is putting the bodyline back in the fender.
You have to tap it back in with a punch the metal work the other side.
I HATE bodyfiller and use it very sparingly,.
When I was done I really could have just used sandable primer instead.

powermadNice, it's good to have skills.
A shop would have just replaced the fender, cheaper than the labor to straighten it out.

ScreamingCockatooYeah, it's $50 and shipping for a Chinese fender.
But I'd have to fit it. Subaru had panel jigs in the factory that stamps them.
I did a Mazda last year they bought me a fender to paint.
I had to twist, push and pull areas to get it to fit.
