For those who give their Pet meds on the first day of the month, today is January 1, 2023 and this is your reminder. Give your Pet(s) an extra treat today, or spend a few extra minutes with them. Remember, they count on us as much as we count on them. Happy New Year from Pearl and me. Niech Zyje P-220 Steve

What do people in the frigid north due regarding heartworm meds? Our vet recommends giving them all year, but is that just a revenue event for them? In MN the first hard frost is usually sometime in Oct and by December the lakes are froze over and there is generally snow on the ground. We usually stop heartworm in Dec and then start again in april, but wondering if we should give all year around even though we don't have mosquitos for about 5 months. The pups get a yearly test as part of their annual checkup/vaccinations. Thank you. I reject your reality and substitute my own. --Adam Savage, MythBusters
