Recommendation for widescreen video monitor? Login/Join

I have a 27 inch 4K video monitor for my MacMini M1. It's not quite wide enough for showing 2 documents side by side. I'm thinking about a 31 inch or so widescreen monitor; I've never used a curved monitor, don't know how that would work for me.
I don't do gaming; this would be at the most for photo and video editing, but mostly document editing.
I'd like to avoid having two separate monitors.

Your thoughts on size, brand, curved vs flat, any other considerations?
Thank you in advance.

Hmmm. My 27" widescreen monitor (Samsung) is OK for 2 documents side by side.

To clarify: I often have two or more spreadsheets or other "landscape" documents open at a time.

About a year ago I bought a 31" curved from Sam's and it did not suit me. Took it back and got a 4k 27" and am happy.

I have been told that you do not want a curved monitor for what you want to do. Not sure why.

I have not seen a curved monitor; I'll try Best Buy and Costco locally to see if they have them.

PCMag.com likes the ASUS (I think 34 inch curved) for business use, costs about a grand, has Thunderbolt 3 ports which would be useful for me with my Macs.

You can do a lot better than that. I paid around $300 for this monitor a year or two ago. Keep an eye on Ben's Bargains and Black Friday ads.
