What the fuck is that supposed to be? Explain yourself.

I've been mistreated
I've been abused
I've been struck downhearted, baby
I've been confused
'Cause I know, yes, I know
I've been mistreated, yeh, yeh
Since my baby left me
I've been losing my mind
You know I have

I've been lonely
I've been cold
I've been looking for a woman, to have and hold
'Cause I know, yes, I know
I've been mistreated, yeh
Since my baby left me
I've been losing, I've been losing
I've been losing my mind
Baby, baby, baby

I've been mistreated
I've been abused
I've been looking for a woman
I've been confused
'Cause I know, yes, I know
I've been mistreated, oh, oh
Since my baby left me, I've been losing, losing
I've been losing my mind, baby, baby, baby
Oh, oh, oh
Oh woman, oh woman, oh woman

I've been losing my mind

Man, you'd better do some fast talking, and I am not kidding

it was meant to be a light hearted reply to the question "why am I so skeptical?". answer because ive been mistreated.
obviously the humor part fell flat.
Sorry if I have offended you.
Would you like me to remove it?

I’ll give this a shot. I’m not sure why you would be skeptical of anything because you have always supported many of our institutions with an un questioning belief, to the point of even scolding and warning people who have raised questions. please correct me if I am wrong. And if I need to be corrected, then please speak plainly so we can have a good discussion.

You want plain speaking, do you?

OK

You're trolling

Plain enough for you, or do I need to type more slowly?

You tell me to "...if I need to be corrected, then please speak plainly so we can have a good discussion" and I'm supposed to believe you're serious?

OK, forget about it. Chalk it up to a misunderstanding I guess.

The success of a solution usually depends upon your point of view

Because skepticism is the way to truth. The true skeptic doesn’t start with "I don’t believe you". The true skeptic starts with "show me your proof" and then examines it and comes to their own conclusions.

A skeptic is the only person who isn’t following one group or another.

Hi Para,
Perhaps ..... you keep your head on a swivel. That and your situational awareness is on point. I was once skeptical of all thing of things outside the box. You taught me well as to say you, over time taught me much about keeping an open mind. Other members have steered me into a new direction that jive with yours. Thank you to all of those members and especially you Para! Many lessons learned here on SigForum.

Many thanks, Para and to those who set me straight on many issues. That's why I stay here. It's a well balanced and professionally run forum.

How we perceive "truth" is subjective, and in order to get the clearest understanding of truth requires the questioning of what we think we believe.

We can "lie" to others, others can "lie" to us, and we can "lie" to ourselves. (while it may seem obvious, we still find ourselves facing such a thing continually, and often are mislead)

Knowing this and being aware is the basis of skepticism, and in the correct application, it is a positive process.
