It's worse than a self own. The people I've seen pushing that on social media do not understand inflation. They think prices go down if the inflation rate goes down. They don't understand what they're posting.

I saw a FB posting the other night about a report from Hershey saying they were going to be raising their prices by double digits due to a terrible year for cacao (and coffee). The article plainly stated it was due to a bad year for these crops and had nothing to do with Trump or tariffs but these reading-comprehension-challenged Trump-hating idiots commenting on it can only squeal that it's all Trump's fault, it's all Trump's tariffs.
