I’m reorganizing how I store my travel trailer tools (torque wrench, equalizer hitch snap-up lever, combo wrench, lug nut wrench, etc.). What I would like is something similar to this (either soft case or hard case: https://www.dickies.com/tool-b...mpaign=connexity_pla

The Dickie’s tool bag won’t work because my tools/wrenches are too long. My wrenches range from 18-22” long and the wrench/tool pockets in the Dickie’s tool bag (like everyone else I could find) run side to side and not top to bottom. My FIL, had a metal tool case that would work as it was long and narrow but he bought it in the 1950s and I can’t seem to find anything like that either. Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I can’t seem to find what I want online.

Thanks!!!

Link to pictures of the types of tools I’m trying to fit into this bag/chest:

4. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hu...yPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

5. I do have a variety of sockets and extensions that I would really like to keep in the bag too. If not, I can still keep them in a dedicated bag I already have.

Some good ideas. Thanks!!! I’d completely spaced surplus bags and the other suggestions were equally good. The Klein were a little pricey for tools but for camping gear, I like them. Once again, the brain trust comes through.

Here is a custom solution. I looked for wrench wraps but the 22" dimensions were all in the wrong place. It might be worth finding a snap on or similar dealer to see what they offer.

What about the pouch lug wrench and jack bars come in for scissor jacks in trucks?

edited to add

Wrench wrap with right dimensions?

Tire tool set with pouch. The pouch is what I was suggesting to put the few tools you linked in.

If you want a tool BOX instead of a bag, Stanley makes a few like these:

This one is a little nicer

Lots and lots of canvas tool bags on ebay. Home Depot bags work well, but they are all red, so that soon becomes confusing. I have about 15 canvas tool bags, and different colors help a lot.

I bought the Highlander and it has already shipped via Royal Mail. There were a lot of good suggestions. I need something for my RV’s extension cords, wooden blocks, etc. I’ll be using some of your canvas bag suggestions for these too. I especially liked the different color suggestion and have looked and many of these bags come in different colors. Thanks again.

Oh I have the solution.

Surely you have one or more upholstery shops in your area, especially one that specializes in auto upholstery.

They should have industrial sewing machines and should be able to locate canvas.

Just talk to them, they can sew it up for you. Any shape or size, no problem. They probably need the business anyway.

I just bought a huge piece of gorgeous leather upholstery from Tandy Leather for $70, it’s something like 45 square feet. Link. You can have really nice looking tool bags.

I realize you found your solution. Just thought I would add the box I've used for the last 18 years or so.
