...and it ain't a Geico commercial. Yeah...I've been hearing pitter-patter noises for a couple of weeks and I think it's squirrels. Any suggestions for exterminators in the North/Northwest part of Houston?? Thanks!

Well... cant help you with local exterminators. But when I was infected with them, I opened my attic hatch and tossed up my 13 pound, combat ready, squirrel hating tom cat. A series of disturbances then took place and when I checked later, I was squirrel free and the cat looked quite smug. I then found a vent they chewed their way into and repaired it with heavy wire mesh.
My main concerns were making sure I was completely rid of them before any repairs were made and I did not want any to die up there and stink me out.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Try playing Slim Whitman's Indian Love Call at top volume for a few hours.

Put some moth balls up there and they’ll go to someone else’s attic.

After you're done with this round, seal up all entrances through your roof with chicken wire.

Thanks for the chuckles. Nah...don't really want to go for the kill...would rather they either leave by some external motivation or trapped. Looks like I'll call Terminex or some other big name company next week to come take a look and assess the situation. Will of course get a roof guy out here to seal up any entry points.

If you use mothballs - put them on a plate or something you can remove later. I know a woman who threw them loose into the insulation and she had to move out because she couldn't get rid of the smell.

I put a couple of ultrasonic generators in my attic and the critters moved out quickly. I bought them on-line for about $20.

Del Shannon's "Runaway" will also work.

Well, OP, thanks for posting that meme! Ever since seeing that Geico commercial where the different actors are in the dressing rooms being prepped I've been trying to remember what ad I'd seen that lady in--and now I know!

I am going to get one of these. Last week at the other place, there were over a dozen squirrels in the one pecan tree.
